6-Port DroneCAN Splitter

Six-port CAN bus splitter for PX4 and ArduPilot vehicles. Six right-angle 4-pin JST-GH connectors on the Pixhawk-standard CAN pinout let you branch a single autopilot CAN port out to ESCs, GPS units, power modules, and other DroneCAN nodes without splicing. 30 mm mounting hole spacing. Description

A passive six-port CAN hub for UAV and robotics builds where one autopilot CAN port has to feed a lot of nodes.

Six ports, no splicing. Six 4-pin JST-GH connectors on the standard Pixhawk CAN pinout (CAN_H, CAN_L, +5V, GND), all wired in parallel. Any port can serve as the feed from the flight controller and the remaining five branch out to ESCs, GNSS receivers, power modules, airspeed sensors, or any other DroneCAN/UAVCAN node. Daisy-chaining through a stack of Y-cables is replaced by one board and one cable per device.

Right-angle connectors. Cables exit parallel to the board rather than perpendicular to it, which keeps stack height down in a crowded frame and takes the bending load off the connector housings — a common failure point when a board is buried under a payload plate and every harness is trying to turn 90 degrees the moment it leaves the pin.

Built for a real bus topology. CAN is happiest as a linear bus, and every branch off a hub is electrically a stub. Mounting this board near the electrical center of your run keeps those stubs short and the reflections small, which is what lets a splitter work cleanly at 1 Mbit/s where a sprawl of long Y-cables will not.

Mounting. Two plated mounting holes on 30 mm spacing, so it drops onto standard 30 mm standoffs or a printed bracket without adapters.

Designed and manufactured in the United States, with full component origin documentation available on request.
